Tiding the waves of change….
Each year more than 2000 couples dissolve their marriages. In many other families, death takes its toll on a loved one.

The tides of change sets in with a divorce or death in a family and the struggle to keep up with the storming waves can either leave a family drowned in sorrow or move them to become resilient survivors.

Single parent families need a helping hand.

At As-Salaam, single parent families are helped to weather through the stormy crisis of a death or divorce of loved ones. Through various programmes and services, parents and children learn to come to terms with their grief, to move on and to start their lives again.

As-Salaam PPIS Family Support Centre is a non-profit agency specialising in working with Malay speaking or Muslim families who have gone through losses through death or divorce. Established in 1988 by the National Council of Social Services, As-Salaam has garnered more than 15 years of experience in working on issues of loss, death and divorce in the Malay/Muslim community.
